Great camera
I have being shooting with Nikon since 2015, stared with the D550 then the D750 and now D850. For me the different is noticeable, very well performance in low light, the ISO, the metering, every thing, I´m very very Happy

The details, features, and amount of information that each raw photo captures really does blow me away. The more you put into this camera the better results you´re going to achieve. The Nikon 35mm 1.4 has warmth that is a noticeable difference from its 1.8 counter part. The battery pack grip with 9 frames per second definitely comes in great handy. The way it fits in you´re hand gives the user incredible stability and fullness. With its wide ability to bracket in several directions... stops above and below really allows me to expand my dynamic range of an image fast. I´m still having trouble achieving edge to edge clarity with focus shifting that seems to be a more of a trial and error setting but once you get it down I´m sure it´s a phenomenal feature.

I have used my D 850 since purchased and it has performed brilliantly, I on the other hand am still trying to catch up with the camera, I use it almost exclusively with my 24 - 70 mm f 2.8 zoom lens and on at least one occasion with my 28 - 300 mm f 3.5 - 5.6 zoom lens both of which have performed brilliantly with the D 850. After my D 810 I wasn´t aware I would need another tutorial on how to get the most out of it! I have taken well over 3,500 photos in 4 different scenarios with excellent results even when I had used Flat in set picture control which I can say I won´t be using that setting anytime soon!
I have used it to take photos of my grandkids with excellent results, wild animals and birds out my back patio again with excellent results, street photography with excellent results and boats at a marina along with all kinds of birds even the one that dove into the water to steal my grandsons bait off the hook again all photos were very good including my hand shaking the camera to pan in on the action!! I only have the D 850 a little more than a month and it already has my admiration, I can hardly wait to get to use it on the wildlife on Long Island Parks and latter this summer on my trips to Cape Cod and Niagara Falls, a wedding I will be a guest at in July as well as several children´s birthday parties and a Christening, my hope is that Nikon will allow me to update this review or write another with the updates!
I really feel that Nikon has an excellent award winning camera in the D 850 and will blow away all competitors!!
Nikon´s software will not allow me to post the photos as they claim they´re too large, but they can be viewed at my flickr site I hope!

I have owned Nikon Cameras for almost 45 years and this is the best I´ve ever owned. I bought the camera because the reviews said that it was terrific for low light photography. I shoot plays, sometimes in almost total darkness and with the spotlights on faces, I need the wide dynamic range that the D850 provides. The noise is minimal so the post production time is reduced so I can get quality images to the play management quickly. I think the camera is unequaled for wildlife. With the high megapixel count coupled with a Nikon tele-zoom the resulting images are superb. This may be the last camera I will ever own.

It´s an amazing tool with ability to record details of far away subjects too! Perfect tool for someone looking for Panoramic, gigapan or landscape, photography. The way 850 allows you to change settings without moving you eye from viewfinder is commandable. (but that´s the strong design aspect for Nikon for years and evolving further.) Just shot a few panoramas in France, the biggest being of 79 images, 11 GB, handheld, and looking through viewfinder from nearly a feet away! Believe it or not, it´s comfortable!

I am a professional landscape photographer that shows in the Arizona markets. I have shot Canon for at least the last 10 years using all of their latest and greatest. This Nikon is so far superior that I am ashamed of my self for not seeing the light earlier. A happy little mistake at one of my night photography sessions was what sent me looking. A student I was coaching with basic ´´canon´´ f-stop settings/iso settings and speed settings for a milky way capture was BLOWING my canon 5dmk4 out of the water. I am now a dedicated Nikon shooter and am so glad I made this change. My 850 is perfect.. (i am a bit flawed though!!!)dennis....dennisddoyle,com

I absolutely love my D850. I love having a full frame camera for my landscapes and sporting events! One issue that I do have, the on/off switch does not fully switch off the camera properly and sometimes the camera won´t switch on. Unfortunately , I´m going to have to send it in for repair.

As a Nikon pro for more than 40 years I have come to expect equipment that exceeds my expectations and completely wows me. The D850 is no exception. Built as solid as my 1st Nikon, the F2, it feels completely natural in my hands, fully ergonomic. Like my previous digital Nikons, the controls are all where I would expect them - quick access the the ones I use the most and a menu structure that makes sense for those I use less often. When it comes to megapixels, I love having overkill and at 45 megapixels the D850 has that covered quite well. When shooting wildlife this file size allows for cropping significantly. Even when I´m not cropping, it´s just nice to know that all that data is there. All in all I love the D850 like I´ve loved every Nikon I´ve owned.

I have been photographing a lot of concerts over the past year, and up until recently I was using a D7200 and a D800. Someone suggested I drop the 7200 for concerts, and use only the D800. The piuctures were a metric ton better! Then I started reading the comparisons of the D850 to even the D800, and when I had the opportunity to get one I did. The comparrison between the D800 and the D850 is in my opinion beyond words! The shutter is so much smoother, and quiet, at least to me! The burst action I get with the D850 is far superior to anything else I have used! When I am photographing concerts, mostly Rock or varies forms of heavy metal, I cannot wait for a certain lighting or the bands to slow down! This camera has taken my shots from good to really good to where the bands are just speechless! The only con to it that I have found is the that there is only 1x SD slot and the XQD slot. The XQD cards and readers are not cheap! No where near me carries them and or refuses to do so. I will hopefully be able to get another D850 in another year or so. It is as the title indicates, for me it is an absolute game changer in pictures!
