    Amazing camera

Posted by GregD on November 20, 2017

I have owned several cameras over the years. The D7500 excellent image quality and low light performance. I really like the touch screen and the auto focus is fast. The only complaint I have is the SnapBridge app. It needs a lot of improvements made to make connection easier and give more options in the remote control feature.

Finally Made the Upgrade - Very Pleased

    Posted by MikeT696 on September 19, 2017

I´ve been shooting with my old D40x for several years and have captured some great shots. Now that the kids are into dance and sports I needed to upgrade. My first day I took it out to the park with my 12 year old daughter in her ballet outfit and the shots were outstanding. Of the 200 shots I took, I would say that I could use half of them as part of her portfolio. Love this camera.

    First DSLR; Not Disappointed

Posted by leicammonochrom on August 27, 2017

This is my first DSLR purchase, having owned Nikon COOLPIX for six years. It is a giant step up in quality. The 8fps burst is amazing, and the eVR in video mode is amazingly smooth. The low light ISO is clean all the way up to ISO 20000. You don´t even see noise until 32000. 4K is usable despite the crop: I just use the 10-20mm which is an equivalent 22.5mm at its widest angle.

    D7500 NIKON CAMERA

    Posted by 1ShotStudios on August 17, 2017

I rented this camera for 2 weeks, I also rented 2 lenses, 70-200mm f/2.8 and 24-70mm f/2.8. I currently own 2 D7000 Nikon´s with 7 different lenses. I waned to see how this camera did in many different lighting situations, when taking 4K photos and video. I went whale watching, the zoo, the beach, NYC day and night shoots, plus many other different places. It did take very nice photos and videos. My reasoning for the 4 stars is because it only has one SD- CARD SLOT, for me that´s a draw back because I love taking photos on one card and filming video on the second card. When out in the ocean whale watching during the action my SD- CARD filled up so I missed photo and video opportunities because of this. I had a 64GB SDXC card installed, however that wasn´t enough to capture everything on one card slot. The other draw back is the screen, even though it can be positioned in a few different angles, I noticed in bright daylight it was extremely hard to see the photos I had taken. The screen is very glossy, wish it was a matte screen so you could view your photos/videos easier in bright daylight situations. I don´t know if they make anything to cover the screen with it´s wide range of movement or not? If they do I would strongly recommend doing that. Other than those two issues I encountered with this camera, everything went fine. Hopefully the next 4K CAMERA will have two SD-CARD SLOTS and hopefully a better screen that´s not glossy so you can see better. That was my experience when testing it out in every lighting situation you could possibly come across. If you can get away using one card slot and deal with the glossy screen then buy it.

Outstanding Quality in a Small Camera Body

Posted by Terry on August 8, 2017

I purchased the Nikon D7500 in early July and have been really impressed with the image quality. I am an artist and educator, and use the Nikon D800 in my professional work. The D7500 was acquired for family and travel. Compared to the D800, the D7500 is lightweight and easy to carry around. I am using the Nikon DX 18-140mm lens with the camera and the results are excellent. Now I do not have to worry about missing out on photographic opportunities because I will carry this camera when the full frame DSLR is just too heavy. Portrait, landscape, and nature images have all turned out beautiful with this camera with minimal editing of raw files. I shot in jpeg format while waiting the Adobe to update and add the camera. The jpeg quality is exceptional and the camera´s low light capabilities are outstanding.

I originally researched mirrorless systems, but found this camera to be a much better option. The battery life is outstanding, still and video quality are great, and with a price that is less than mirrorless cameras I considered. The camera is fun to use, and I am enjoying photography much more now.

    Way to much money!

Posted by Aviewfromabove on July 30, 2017

Shot over 2K pictures and I can say that the image quality and low light performance is not as good as advertised. I have used a D3300 for over 2 years and it takes as good if not better pictures than my d7500 in low light or not. Anything shot over 2000 iso noticeably grainy with the d7500. The dynamic range is marginally better if that than my d3300. I can say that battery life is excellent, took 700 pictures at a wedding shower and the level only went down 1 bar on the battery indicator. The body feels solid and well made. The way the d7500 handles is great though and all the features and buttons are perfectly done. For the 1,356 dollars I paid for it I feel like I have been totally miss-led and I´m really not happy at all with this camera. Everything I said is my opinion from actual use of the d7500 in both professional and non pro settings.

    An Amazing Camera!

Posted by DaveyJ on July 28, 2017

This DX camera represents my investment of every single 7000 camera, and I started back with the D100, before that .Nikon´s and F5s. This D7500 is fast an efficient! I thought I would not appreciate the flip screen! It is the best flip, touch screen to date! This camera has a better video capability and I have no doubt about that at all. Having a D500, D7200 I have much to compare it to! This is a lightweight, fast, sleek, and powerful camera! My decision was to buy and try! I was lucky I got past negative pre release comments and decided to celebrate Nikon´s 100th Birthday this way! Don´t get me wrong....
Before I buy ANY camera I try the competition! Mirrorless, other brands, etc., I looked them all over. including the current supposedly champ video rig....it was more dollars and would have required lens, adapters, etc.! The D7500 adds to the already Best Bang For The Buck D7200 and simply Amazing D500! But the onboard flash, other features, I now feel this is a land mark camera! Now to get into the field and Capture The Moments!

    Fantastic Camera!

Posted by I am ALWAYS Nikon on July 27, 2017

I have had this camera for two weeks and I think it´s great. Smaller, lighter, faster! And it has most of the features of my D750. Autofocus is fast and the low light capabilities are wonderful. I went on the underground tour in Seattle and shot with no flash and the pictures are nice and bright. No issues with noise at high ISO. I think this camera is a winner!

I have read some of the negative reviews and I think that people are just whining about non-issues. Battery grips are heavy and expensive and I have rarely seen anyone with one. And the second card slot is rediculous! I have it on my D750 and I never use it. I have it set to Raw in slot 1 and JPEG in slot 2 and I always dump the JPEG when I get home and I bet everyone else does too. As far as running out of room cards are so cheap these days you have no excuse to not have extra cards.

I really like this camera and I don´t miss any of the features that people think it is missing.
