So-far, so-very-good. Only a few-hundred shots on this D7500, but it is a vast-upgrade to my D3100. All of my DX-lenses work great in this body (my 55-300 lens actually makes me dizzy while focusing with the VR-on with this body, but it takes better pix than on my D3100).
Many reviewers have complained about the SnapBridge app, but I´ve got to say, this works WAY better than I anticipated. I have had zero problems connecting to my iPhone(6), except when my camera is close to my computer (Mac) when turned on. This camera initially communicates over BT-LE, so the camera will attempt to pair with the computer if it´s closer. I´ve connected / transferred probably 100-times, and any time it didn´t communicate to the SnapBridge app immediately, I simply turned off my Mac´s bluetooth, and the phone would immediately link to the camera.
There´s 10,000-settings on this camera, so it´s a little daunting at first to trudge through the 350-page manual, but it was well worth the effort. I was able to customize this for exactly the effect I wanted, every time. I will say though, I think ´´AUTO´´ shoots a very flat picture compared to my D3100 in AUTO out of the box (likely because of the expanded metering - everything is in focus and at the same level, unlike a point-and-shoot which is center-weighted). Out of all the features, the ones I like best are using your finger on the display to focus (then have it shoot as you pull your finger off the screen) and the HDR/bracketing features seem outstanding based on my limited testing.
The shutter is wicked-fast, spot and area focusing is WAY-faster versus using the same lenses on my D3100, the body has a good feel, and most of the buttons are reachable with my finger on the trigger. I only got (maybe) 100-shots in before the battery was dead (I imagine turning on Airplane-mode will greatly improve that). I like the built-in flash too; it´s powerful without being over-powering.
I can´t think of a single serious complaint to be made about this camera, other than it not really being an exceptional point-and-shoot out of the box. BTW: my 18-55 is still my most-favorite lens for most situations (not a fan of my fixed 35mm, unless I´m trying to take creative studio-type shots).
