D7500

I bought the D7500 and 18-300mm VR kit as a travel kit upgrade to my D7000 and 18-105mm kit. I found the D7500 controls well laid out. I especially liked that the function dial now has a lock on it. I bumped the D7000 function dial every time i shot with it while traveling. I did find that the grip on the D7500 was more boxy than the D7000 and the body lighter. Though i haven´t looked at every D7500 feature, i loved the new firmware functions and low-light performance. The 18-300mm was all that i could have expected it to be. I´ve rented this lens before several times so i knew what the performance would be like. Now that I own the lens i´m Sure that i will love it even more. I was surprised that i had to buy a lens hood and lens case separately. I did find the on-camera flash a little underpowered as compared to the D7000. What could improve the D7500? A second memory card slot and a battery grip.

I´ve been shooting with D5300, D5500, D7100, D500, D750 and D810. This camera is outstanding. Not only in image quality and ISO performance but also focusing system, the D7500 shoots 8 frames per second exceptionally well and accurate. This baby D500 surprised me with it´s remarkable performance, My only complain is second SD slot removal and I don´t know why Nikon decided to remove it from 7000 series.

It´s good to be alive today. Technology has never been so inclusive and approachable -- ordinary folk can now create their own content with much less effort and time. With the way content is consumed nowadays, in many cases the DX system does excellently. Owning an FX system does not automatically make one a professional photographer. Vice versa, owning a DX system does not automatically make one an amateur. It´s all about having the eye for beauty-- and beauty is relative. I take photos based on my aesthetic and more importantly, my viewpoint.

I am very pleased with my decision to have bought the Nikon D7500 to properly equip my being a freelance event/sports/news photographer. Highly capable with great features in a COMPACT and LIGHT body. And more importantly, the price point is approachable. Planning to get another one soon as it is critical to have two bodies in my kind of photography.

I waited 7 years to move from D5000 to D7500 and I immediately enjoyed the D7500. This camera is extremely capable ! Perfect for week-ends, sport, vacations (light) and kids (good ISO / speed). It also has a lots of nice/new features (high ISO, snap bridge, 100% viewfinder coverage, 8 fps, artificial horizon, flash commander) that I use a lots. I really enjoy photographing with it.
note : I confirm the approx 950 shots if you only take pictures. I rarely use the touch screen.

I´ve been shooting with my old D7000 and just died in May 2017 (awesome camera) and have captured some great shots. I shopped around for some time tried Sony a7, Sony a6300, Sony a6500 and Nikon D750. All great cameras, but I needed a cámara with the crop factor( additional zoom) and ease and fast to access the buttons. I took my Nikon D7500 to travel to Toronto Canada and it is a powerful reliable camera for all types of photography. Next spring 2018 to China. In the video department provides a 4K (with additional crop factor) which you have to keep in mind at the time of composing you shot. Also make sure you set your aperture, manual focus, adjust to taste and record. Love this camera.

I have owned several cameras over the years. The D7500 excellent image quality and low light performance. I really like the touch screen and the auto focus is fast. The only complaint I have is the SnapBridge app. It needs a lot of improvements made to make connection easier and give more options in the remote control feature.

I´ve been shooting with my old D40x for several years and have captured some great shots. Now that the kids are into dance and sports I needed to upgrade. My first day I took it out to the park with my 12 year old daughter in her ballet outfit and the shots were outstanding. Of the 200 shots I took, I would say that I could use half of them as part of her portfolio. Love this camera.

This is my first DSLR purchase, having owned Nikon COOLPIX for six years. It is a giant step up in quality. The 8fps burst is amazing, and the eVR in video mode is amazingly smooth. The low light ISO is clean all the way up to ISO 20000. You don´t even see noise until 32000. 4K is usable despite the crop: I just use the 10-20mm which is an equivalent 22.5mm at its widest angle.

I rented this camera for 2 weeks, I also rented 2 lenses, 70-200mm f/2.8 and 24-70mm f/2.8. I currently own 2 D7000 Nikon´s with 7 different lenses. I waned to see how this camera did in many different lighting situations, when taking 4K photos and video. I went whale watching, the zoo, the beach, NYC day and night shoots, plus many other different places. It did take very nice photos and videos. My reasoning for the 4 stars is because it only has one SD- CARD SLOT, for me that´s a draw back because I love taking photos on one card and filming video on the second card. When out in the ocean whale watching during the action my SD- CARD filled up so I missed photo and video opportunities because of this. I had a 64GB SDXC card installed, however that wasn´t enough to capture everything on one card slot. The other draw back is the screen, even though it can be positioned in a few different angles, I noticed in bright daylight it was extremely hard to see the photos I had taken. The screen is very glossy, wish it was a matte screen so you could view your photos/videos easier in bright daylight situations. I don´t know if they make anything to cover the screen with it´s wide range of movement or not? If they do I would strongly recommend doing that. Other than those two issues I encountered with this camera, everything went fine. Hopefully the next 4K CAMERA will have two SD-CARD SLOTS and hopefully a better screen that´s not glossy so you can see better. That was my experience when testing it out in every lighting situation you could possibly come across. If you can get away using one card slot and deal with the glossy screen then buy it.
