Great camera for taking pictures of my jobs and other daily life thinks I want good pictures of. The camera is simple to use and can be set to Auto for the times when you need it as just a point and click camera.

    Nikon D5600 user

Remarkably focusing with silent motor movement, You can adjust more precise with focus tuning. When you use AF-P 18-55 mm or AF-P 80-300 mm choosing a low light subject, it will raise ISO, so the picture is not clear at all, even you manually setting aperture or speed. Tracking speed for moving object is slow even for picture or video, you can see the blurring photos. If you have a chance, select higher performance nikon.

    Great Camera

I use to take photos as a hobby, photographing wildlife/landscape and people. I used to have a Sony Alpha A350 but it was stolen and when I decided to buy a new one, I made some research and ended up ordering this Nikon D5600; when I started to take photos with it, I got amazed by the quality of them and how it is so easy to work with. I really recommend this camera.

    They just keep getting better

Posted by WhataboutBob on June 19, 2018

Very versitile! Using everything from the 55mm zoom coming with the camera, my 18-270mm , and 150-600mm lenses the pictures are fantastic. The auto iso simplifies things, but varying the iso both in daylight and night gives you more creative options. The option for having jpeg and raw on the same shot I use all the time. jpeg fine for sharing and raw for printing. Finally the touch screen, I use it all the time. It makes changing setting a snap. If you don´t have it with you(remote shutter release) you can touch the screen for shooting.

    Great investment for an ametuer

This camera has rekindled my interest in photography, I have always have had cameras for capturing memories, but have since started to turn creative and share photos on social media with family. I do not feel qualified to adequately evaluate the technical aspects, but have been very happy with the sharp photos and the ease of downloading pictures using SnapBridge. Taking the advice of an on line expert, I paired the camera with a Nikkor 16-80 lens for my “go to” setup and a Nikkor 40 mm micro for close up shots. I have been very happy with this setup.

    Camera Upgrade for Retiremrnt

Posted by Mikedjones on June 18, 2018

My photography experience is still on the beginner level ( amateur) and has been since my youth but basically that ecperience had been limited to ´´point and shoot´´ or 35mm film with ´´auto´´ selected. Then... several years ago I satisfied my dream and bought my first Nikon ...the D3000. I was so happy with that camera for several years but eventually I came to desire a camera with more capabilities.
I did a lot of study on Nikon cameras d...watching YouTube after YouTube and eventually settled my sights on the D5600. We are not a rich family and I even hesitated buying the D5600 and also fI watched sales very carefully. When my wife learned of my dream she insisted that I spend the money now and get the camera of my dreams because she figured that I would need it as I pursued my interest in photography in my retirement years. Since the purchase I bought several backdrops, some photo lights and built my own photo studio in my basement. The D5600 has provided me with photos that were better than my expectation especially combined with the inexpensive photo studio. At time I thought I would wait a couple more years before retiring but ended up making the decision early. Within the last six weeks I decided that it was time so I am glad I bought the 5600 a few months ago. In the time that I have been using the camera I have experimented with Manual mode whereas up till then I never ventured there. I am extremely happy with what the 5600 can do and does. Are there Nikons that can do somehings better? ...Of course, but I did not want to spend any more money than the amount allowed for thex D5600 because I got what I could afford which met my needs and expectations ...95 per cent of the time that is. Maybe if someday I actually play the lottery and win I will pursue a Nikon that does even more but I know for now I am still considered a beginner and have lots to learn so I have the camera that fits my level of knowledge for the best price . I might soon take my photo education beyond YouTube and take an introduction to photography class. As I previously stated, I am very pleased with the Nikon that I have. It has met my expectations and then some (especially the time lapse feature and the articulated viewer) but I have been sorely disappointed in SnapBridge. I keep hoping Nikon sends a fix for this soon. I cannot even get it to properly recognize in Bluetooth for pairing. I have spent countless wasted hours trying to get it to work at all. I have seen other more elegant Nikons handle this function but ithere it has to do with built in hardware... not SnapBridge. Also, I was not ecstatic with the video features because I was limited in what I could do compared to my standalone video camera. Surebitvworks I justvwas hoping for the 5600 to at least be as good as my video camera. My final rating with the 5600 is 95 percent Excellent ..of which the Nikon video function has the convenience of being inside one camera (the 5600) and athough not as versatile as the standalone vidro camera it performs the task. Still, without me marking anything off for the video function that leaves 5 percent Development Needed... but that continues making my overall rating of Excellent.
By the way, Nikon...I am more than willing to beta test any new or existing Nikon camera that might be sent my way...NJK (Not Just Kidding)...I will have plenty of time in my retirement years. Nikon just may want a beginner´s perspective.

    The 70/300 Lens

Posted by rdrd on June 14, 2018

I would love to have this camera and the two lens shown. But that 70 - 300 lens without the VR is a deal buster. The other problem with this lens (I have one) is that the lens hood is a piece of garbage. They fall apart at a touch - the one I have now is ´´super glued´´ together. I cannot see buying another ´new´ one.
