Loving it so far, but problem with iPhone connection

Posted by Mindincolo on October 18, 2018

I bought the D5600 because I wanted the ability to send pictures to my phone. I had an android at the time of camera purchase and was able to send pictures with no issues. I upgraded to an iPhone and the camera would not connect with the iPhone. I spent several hours reading and trying recommendations from others, as well as calling and speaking with several Nikon representatives. I ended up returning the iPhone and getting back into android and the camera connected with no issues.

Easy to use out of the box for a beginner!

Easy to use, but can easily grow into it. Pictabridge works great for sending photos to my phone and also using the phone as a remote! I was fabbergasted how easy it was.

Big things come in small packages!

Posted by JEApix on September 16, 2018

This is quite the useful little camera. Not so big and bulky to carry around, and still get quality pictures. Love the LCD screen, it comes in very useful for many angles when one does not bend so well anymore. Love the Nikon D5600!

    Better than video games!

Posted by GURPLE on September 9, 2018

We had went to the beach this year and my husband surprised me with an early birthday present of this camera. Well of course I loved it and used it but my 13 year old son has took it away from me. And if you have kids this age you know how hard it is to get them away from screens and video games. He loves it. He comes home, does his homework and out the door he goes with the camera. I love it too. Not just because it is a really great camera and I´ve not found a Nikon I didn´t love but the best present is seeing my son discovering a whole new world with it. That´s the best .

Easy to Use and Great Pictures

Posted by PleasedNewbie on August 29, 2018

I am new to DSLR cameras and wanted one to take to Africa for a Safari. I didn´t have time to learn all about all the manual features. After reading D5600 for Dummies and getting certain features set, I was ready to roll. The camera was great - easy to use, took awesome photos and the snap bridge technology worked perfectly. I really wanted to have location data for my photos so just had my iPhone on me and the GPS of the phone added the location to the pictures. I used a Nikon 180 - 300mm lens and that was perfect for getting those up close, Nat´l Geo type shots. LOVE this camera!

    Not just for beginners!

Posted by leftyr on August 18, 2018

I am a seasoned amateur photographer, having owned several Nikon cameras, including the full framed D610. As I got older, I found the large cameras were just a load to carry around all day long. After some detailed research, I settled on the D5600, and so glad I did. The D5600 is small compared to the other cameras I have used, and I have large hands. But the deep, well designed grip makes for a very comfortable grip of the camera. Along with taking amazing photos, the three main things I love about the D5600 is: 1.) the fully articulating screen. My old knees don´t allow much crouching or getting up and down, so that articulating screen is a must for me 2.) it took me a little while to get used to the touch screen, but now I find it so handy and easy to use, I wouldn´t do without it. No longer do I have to fish through all the menus to find features I want to use. 3.) The camera is light enough, I can take it on a hike, and barely notice I am carrying it.

Awesome photo quality in a nice light body

    Posted by PK442 on August 16, 2018

Phenomenal image quality in a great light body at a reasonable price. I use to own the equally great D5300. The image quality on this series is about as good as it gets in a camera that is easy to hike around with all day long. The new D5600 is much smaller and lighter with a greatly improved deep grip that makes it easy to grab/hold the camera, even with a heavy lens attached. I´ve had excellent results in everything including sports and low light. While the D5600 is not an expensive, heavy ´´pro´´ camera, with descent skills, the D5600 is very capable of producing ´´pro quality´´ pictures.

This camera is great for both beginners and mid-level experience. Much easier to use than the D-80 it replaced.

Excellent general purpose camera. It can be a point and shoot or you control everything in your camera. The LED displace that opens in the back is the most useful tool for me. It really simplifies picture taking by letting you see all the settings you need!
