Sharpest Nikon Zoom ever
Posted by PETER YONEMORI on March 30, 2024
tack sharp lens even when used with TCEIII 1,4x or 2.0x, doing very well on Z9 , sharp wide open, no real weak spot

Navydoc's two-cents
Posted by CMDR Harold Barnhill JR on March 8, 2024
Albeit I have yet to purchase my own 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR, I have been honored to have been able to use it multiple times. I was able to use it with all my Nikon Camera Equipment: (i.e., my Nikon D850; Nikon D5; and my new Nikon Z9--which is in a word: STUPENDOUS), this Nikkor Lens is second-(2nd) to none.

Best lens I've owned...despite the cost associated with it.
Posted by Bret on August 28, 2021
I've had this lens for about 8 months and absolutely love it. I do extensvie High School Sports so this is ideal! Even indoors for Basketball, etc it gives me that extra reach, sharpness, needed. The only drawback and I mean the only is the weight. I have free-handed it for about 2 quarters but my back starts cramping leading me to switch to my 70-200 2.8. For Baseball, Softball, Football, Soccer, etc I use a monopod...you do have to invest in a top notch version though...my $40 version would simply collapse down so I bought a professional grade and no problems since.

Great lens for Sports
Posted by John Klimavicz on November 20, 2020
Excellent quality and build with super fast focusing either with Autofocus or Manually. Using on my D5. Can be handheld but a monopod is definitely beneficial. I use it almost exclusively for sports but it looks great for nature photos as well.
