Surprisingly Good
Posted by Daniel Ausec on May 11, 2021
I will say this..this is not your typical "kit" lens..after seeing all the good reviews on this and the 16-50 lens, I figured I would give it a try..Nikon was a little late to the party, but they have at least caught up , if not surpassed the competition with the Z series..shocked and pleasantly surprised with this lens

Nikkor 50-250 is a go-to lens
Posted by Joe Wollet on May 11, 2021
The Nikkor Z DX 50-250 has become a go-to lens for me. Images are crisp, clear, and not prone to distortion anywhere. Despite being a kit lens, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile, day-to-day lens. Eventually, I'd like to get something with a wider aperture for better shots in low-light situations, but for what it is, this lens is a winner

Beavers to Bumble Bees, this will do the job.
Posted by Tim Grollimund on May 11, 2021
I did not know what to expect when I got this with my Z 50. I wanted to move into mirrorless, and this is a great entry system for that. I am impressed with the sharpness and ease of operation of both the Z 50 and the 50-250mm lens. I use this as my "walking around" lens. I shoot a 200-500mm when I am at my shooting spots in the woods. I have shot everything from beavers to bumble bees with the 50-250mm, still and video, with great results.

I expected no less from a NIkkor lens
Posted by Manuel Perez on May 11, 2021
It is a good lens to be a starter kit, the optics are very good, very clear and the integrated stabilizer does the job perfectly. It is light and reliable, very sharp and precise. It is excellent for portraits and street photography from a distance. It also does an excellent job for wildlife photography.

Review

My Z 50 was bought as a compliment to my D 7100 and D 610. I use it primarily as a carry around Camera as it is so compact. it's my first Camera with an articulating touch screen which helps me get images from perspectives I've never attempted before,I'm very happy with the quality of photos it produces and the controls are easy to master

Great pairing with the Z50
Posted by Joe Joe on May 11, 2021
A very solid performer on the Z50. Sharpness is best one stop down from wide-open. Only drawback is the plastic lens mount.

Top Quality In A Small Package
Posted by Douglas Campbell on May 11, 2021
Image quality is excellent and the VR is as good as any Nikon lens I have used. Small and lightweight this is an excellent all around lens for any situation. I highly recommend this lens for use on the Z50.
