Love this thing! It can do video flawlessly and the pics are of course stellar. I shot an incredible travel video in Scotland and turned around to do senior photos! I love the easy of use. I can't wait until there is an update that gives a LOG profile in the the 7II. This would make it perfect!!!!

    Hard to believe.

Posted by RON SHIELDS on December 3, 2024

The camera is very light weight. It’s hard to believe something so small can pack such a large punch. I have the Nikon 6ii camera as well, but the added megapixels and a good pre Black Friday deal I couldn’t say no to the 7ii. Matching my 85mm z lens has produced some stunning portraits and the bokeh is incredible. My 6 will likely be used as a back up and by my grandson maybe. I can’t wait until spring and a chance to hit the trails for some landscape and wildlife photos. Especially excited to do some long exposures as well. The 900 second feature is enticing. I have shot bulb for years, but that 15 minute exposure can be done without an accessory shutter release. Maybe the Milky Way in late summer and some star trails. Tons of possibilities.

    My 10th Nikon Camera

Posted by Steven Bowers on November 18, 2024

I purchased the Z7II for use in landscape photography, which I have yet to use it for. I have used it for portraits and to photograph a family member's 90th birthday celebration. The pictures are excellent; however, the eye detection feature could be better. I switched to single point AF for the majority of the photographs and had no issues. I like the ergonomics and feel of the camera. Size and weight are great for long hikes.

    Oldie but Newbie

Posted by Botchan Botchan on October 5, 2024

I started out in the film days with Nikons with 5 or 6 lenses. Then when digital came out I chucked it all for superzoom all-in-one cameras. I was sort of ok with the results, small cameras had blurring and large cameras were bulky with not so good image quality.I just purcased a Z7 II and am delighted with it. It is small enough that with the 16-50 lens i can put it in a jacket pocket. The resolution is so good that with the 200mm lens i can go into software and blow it up 10 fold and still get great resolutionAll in all, with a flash for indoor peoples, it is a dream to use. and while the manual is large, i can just peck at the sections I need. Oh, and on automatic, i put a Nikon SB600 on, no adjustments of any kind, just turned on the camera and the flash and voila, perfect pictures.Overall, I am delighted with the camera, and my superzoom is going on ebay tomorrow LOL

Nikon lover. Z 7 II is an impressive camera. Easy to handle and shoot. Great selection of lenses (when will the lens cost go down :) )

The Z7ii is excellent and so are the Z-mount lenses.

Posted by David DeRosa on September 9, 2024

The Z7ii is and excellent camera and the new mirrorless Z lenses are extraordinary. The new mirrorless design has allowed Nikon to actually surpass its F-Mount cameras and lenses. In actual fact, the mirrorless revolution at Nikon has greater implications for the new Z mount lenses than the camera. And the lenses designated "S" are in a class of their own. I want to buy a second Z camera body -- will either get another 7ii or the Z8. But there could be a Z7iii -- although that appears to phantom of the internet. There is nothing I do not like.

    I've Turned Into A Cropper

Posted by JOHN WIGGERT on June 24, 2024

I have been shooting the 6ii for years upgrading from a D500, and adding the ZF as soon as it was available. The ZF kind of took me back to the F2 days. Now I'm taking more pictures of birds and as a result doing more cropping even with the Z100-400mm ,and Z180-600mm lens. At 72 years old after shooting the 6ii for as long as I have, and being able to tell you what happened 20 years ago but not what I had for breakfast, learning how to use a 7ii was a cinch for me!John W
