Great fit for experienced photographers
Very happy with image quality and focusing speed. Just about the right size to be combined with longer lenses. Really nice monitor in viewfinder. I have owned the D850, D500 and Z50.

Faster than my Z6 II, photos are crazy sharp, and I love the colors out of the camera. Money well spent.

Not happy with this CFexpress card. Would have preferred Two SD card slots. As far as camera performance, working in low light works great. Eye and face detection functions well.

Working great for me so far. Much better than my z5 was.

I am not a professional and wanted a camera I could easily travel with, especially keeping in mind weight restrictions, but that could also handle the wildlife photography I like to do. I wasn't thrilled by the weight and cost of a Z8/9, so I was excited about the idea of the Z6III which has many advanced features of the 8 / 9 in a more compact body. I have been nothing but impressed by this camera since picking it up when it first came out. In fact, I liked it so much, I picked up a second one during the winter sale so I could avoid lens changes during dusty or otherwise inclement conditions (rain, snow).I find the auto-focus incredibly fast and the colors captured on a mix of Z-lenses have been vibrant and true. The subject detection and tracking have worked really well and the camera does a fantastic job in a wide range of lighting conditions, including very dim light. I did not find any of the settings/menus overly complicated (for a camera in this class and the capabilities I was looking for). I like having the option of CF Express or SD card and I often use the CF as a primary and can have the SD as a backup. The battery life has also been workable - I'll often get most of my day shooting on one battery, maybe two on a long day.

My only issue is that the camera doesn’t have 2 sd card slots but 1 sd and 1cf. There are not quality cf to sd adapters. I do not use cf and do not know any other photographers who do. It is frustrating to not have another sd card slot. I didn’t realize when purchasing that there weren’t 2 sd cards. Cf cards are more expensive and this is all creating a headache that isn’t necessary.

To fully take advantage of all the capabilities of this camera requires study and trial. It is fully capable but there are so many settings available that a good understanding of the camera and how that meets the needs of the photographer is required to take advantage of how to use it.

This camera is far and above my previous camera, a z6ii. The autofocus is quite amazing and superb. There is a learning curve associated with this camera. Just get out and explore its abilities.
