Why didn't I do this before

    Posted by Twinkletoes19891 on October 1, 2025

I made the leap from the Canon ecosystem to Nikon specifically for the Z6III, and I'm completely blown away. From the moment I picked it up, the camera's performance was outstanding, but the subsequent firmware updates have been game-changing, it truly feels like a vastly improved machine. The speed and quality of features on this body are so top-tier that it makes me question why anyone would look elsewhere. I'm so impressed, I actually want to buy more bodies like the zf and z50ii on the future the z8 or what ever its big brother will be, just to have them on hand. I'm taking the updated Z6III to shoot the rodeo this weekend, and I'm genuinely excited to unlock its full potential.

    Great travel camera.

Posted by Dennis F. on September 25, 2025

I am loving this little camera. I have it paired with the Nikon 28-400mm zoom and it is my ultimate travel camera. Keeps the kit light and extremely versatile. It is probably much more camera than I need, but it's great.

    Perfect backup or second body

Posted by Doctor E on September 25, 2025

I bought the z6 iii as a backup to my z8. With the latest firmware update the z6iii operates just like my z8. I do not feel that the slight size difference is a big deal and the lighter weight is a benefit when hand holding my 600 6.3 lens. I could not be happier with this purchase as it serves as a perfect backup or second body to the z8

The Nikon Z6 111 is my first mirrorless camera and it’s been great thus far learning all that I’d does.

    No regrets

I am amazed at how much technology is packed into this camera at this price point. I have owned other Nikon cameras before, so navigation of this new one is fairly easy. Learning all of the new features is fun! I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do with this camera.

    Amazing Camera!

Posted by Robert M. on September 8, 2025

The Nikon Z6 III is a fantastic camera that truly stands out in its class, offering a premium shooting experience. Its autofocus is a game-changer, inheriting the advanced subject detection and 3D tracking from Nikon's professional Z8 and Z9 models. This makes it incredibly fast and accurate, even in challenging low-light conditions, ensuring a high hit rate for moving subjects. The ergonomic design is another major plus. It feels familiar and comfortable in hand, with a well-thought-out control layout that makes it easy to operate without needing to dive into menus. The addition of a fully articulating screen is a welcome upgrade, especially for video creators and those shooting from creative angles.Beyond the core functions, the Z6 III packs a lot of power. The new partially-stacked sensor allows for impressive burst shooting speeds and high-quality 6K internal RAW video recording. The stunningly bright and high-resolution electronic viewfinder is a pleasure to use, providing a clear and accurate view of the scene. It's a versatile and powerful hybrid camera that handles both stills and video with exceptional capability.

Great camera! I am still learning it.. but great autofocus. Much better than my Z6II for wildlife. Still have to get into video, it can be intimidating!

I am learning more each day with use of the camera and watching videos on You Tube. I am coming from a D7500 and while there is a learning curve the newer technology is making it easier to use the Z 6III. I also have new lenses that make photos much sharper and I am looking forward to printing and framing some of my photos.

This thing is a beast!! HUGE upgrade from Fuji and a step up from my Zf

Posted by Mateen T. on September 5, 2025

My new weapon of choice for weddings, portraits, events, real estate, and anything else I throw at it!! Greatest camera I’ve ever used. Night and day upgrade from my Fuji X-H2. And more of an upgrade from my Zf than I expected. The Z6iii is just so responsive for whatever you throw at it. And there’s so much added power and usability from the additional function buttons, combined with U1, U2, and U3 settings banks — which let you save EVERYTHING from the i menu to the custom function buttons and even all the individual settings. This made it a breeze for my real estate workflow to go from HDR brackets in U2 to flash exposures in U3. However I wish I had the option to autosave my settings in these custom User Settings modes — instead if you adjust anything and turn to a different mode then back, those adjusted settings will be reset. You have to manually save new settings each time thru the menu, otherwise even tweaks to shutter speed/aperture/ISO or WB will disappear and reset. Similarly, when in U1/U2/U3 modes, I’m not aware of any way to switch between P/S/A/M. This is silly. What if I want all my same custom settings and shortcuts but simply want to go from Aperture Priority to Manual mode? A lot of people don’t even use the U1/2/3 modes. I find them very helpful yet with some irksome flaws that could be easily fixed!Ergonomics feel great. I love the customizability, you can set this up for pure speed whatever your subject or workflow. And it’s a true hybrid workhorse. My first professional gig was wedding videography — and I’m not a videographer!! But the Z6iii made it easy to focus on my subject with a tap and take banging 4K 60p footage with impressive IBIS. I set the function button on my lens to start recording so I could reach it with my left hand while holding a top handle with my right. Dual base ISO in N-Log of 800 and 6400 let me take bright, clean footage indoors at the reception on the dancefloor making minimal lights look like daytime. An absolute majesty of a camera!
