Nixon Z7ll low light focus. Ugh!

Posted by FRANK LEBOEUF on July 20, 2022

I used my Z7ll almost everyday, never a problem. The olbad is that the low light level is blocked by lenses and I’ll not connect to infrared speed speed light for focusing. Not sure why, I’ve tried everything and it’s not a good design. Other than that it’s a great camera.

Nikon Z Cameras… The next step in photography

Posted by Otto Nero on July 20, 2022

Bought the Z7II along with the 14-30 Lens for real estate. It replaced my venerable D4. It took some time to get use to the smaller size. My clients noticed that the images were sharper and an increased dynamic range. It also took a little time to get use to the different control layout. Once acclimated to the camera I was completely satisfied with its performance. In fact so happy with performance that I just sold my D850 and replaced with a Z6II! The FTZ adapter allows me to use my AF-S lenses with no loss of quality.

If words could describe it, I would have to say BEYOND REMARKABLY OUTSTANDING !! I’ve been using Nikon since 1976 and it just keeps getting better! I absolutely LOVE my Z7ii and the 4 Z lenses I have. THANK YOU, Nikon. Walt A.

    Amazing image quality.

Posted by Tony Nelson on July 20, 2022

I have had the camera for four months and I love the quality of the images I’m getting. I’m currently using the 24-70 f4, the 70-200 f2.8 and the MC 105 and I I’m just amazed at the sharpness and color reproduction. I would like to see the autofocus improved to track animals other than cats and dogs.

    Z7II exceeds my expectations

Posted by Allan Wood on July 20, 2022

The best camera I have used. This has exceeded my expectations, even with F mount lenses. I cannot comment about auto focus using Z lenses since my lenses are manual only except for a 70-200 mmm which responds as I hoped. No issues with this camera. Low light, no problem.

Professional performer in a compact package

Posted by John R Green on July 20, 2022

Although I also own a Z9, the Z7II is my everyday carry camera. It goes with me everywhere with the Z 24-120 f:4 S lens. I use both the Z7II and the Z9 cameras in my professional work. The Z7II is the perfect second body for my system.

Best second camera body I've owned

Posted by Richard Kibbey on July 20, 2022

Let me start off by saying I love this camera. The colors are great and with a little trial and error and practice, it is more than a landscape/portrait camera. I get great shots with moving subjects using autofocus Wide AreaAF (L-Animals) and it does quite well with focusing. Is it a Z9, no, but the photographer has to take some responsibility for the quality of the photos. Trying different settings and practice is the key. This is a great vacation camera, professional shoot camera, and superior for landscapes and portraits. Like any other skill, it takes practice to perfect. Get out there and shoot...alot and have fun.

    Excellent Camera

Posted by Roberto Perez on July 20, 2022

Excellent camera. My photos have gotten so much better, they are much more clear and so much detail and I am sure I am not using all of its potential yet considering i had it only for a few months and I am still learning some of the features. I have paired it with my 85mm 1.8 and also with 70-200 2.8 and TC2x

    One Small Glitch

Posted by Douglas Campbell on July 20, 2022

Very impressive camera. My only gripe is when you install the MB-N11 the wake up time is reduced. Very irritating for a nature photographer. It would be nice if a firmware upgrade could address this problem.
