    Nikon Optics, The Best

Posted by Osco on February 9, 2017

    Very happy with the quality,
I see complaints about the lens caps but when I Installed the neck strap and threaded the lens caps
per the owners manual I found them to be very user friendly. I like having the lens caps right there.
If I were to leave them loose in the case or somewhere else I would use them less.

I use these In a less than perfect environment. I need the lens caps in place until use.
Very well thought out design, I pick them up, neck strap over my head, lens caps get popped off.
After use the caps are right there and go back on while the binoculars are still safe from dropping
with the strap still around my neck.

As for the optics, this Is my second pair as I need a bit less light gathering and more portability than my Nikon 10x50's that I've had for almost 20 years. Nikon optics and ergonomics just work better for me than any other brand I've ever tried.

The single factor I noticed first was the same thing I noticed all those years ago.
When doing side by side test with others the Nikon's Instantly gave brighter, sharper Images by far.
This model matches optical quality with binoculars costing twice as much as far as I can tell.

    East Coast Hunter

Excellent made, light weight and very clear lenses. They are even clear and bright in low light situations. The rubber coating makes them easy to hold without slipping. As others have mentioned the lens covers are not good. I keep mine in a bino case with shoulder straps so I don't use the lens covers anyways. Great product for a great price.

Great Binoculars with useless lens covers

Posted by Marty Marathon on August 12, 2016

This is one of those products where the engineers designed a great optical product but I don't believe that anyone ever took them out of the office and tried to use them as they are intended. The lens covers are absolutely useless! If you purchase these binoculars do yourself a favor and purchase the Vortex 42mm Tethered Objective Lens CAP-42/54 and the Vortex Binocular RAINGUARD. I am a huge Nikon fan and I don't know if this review will even make it to the web but please Nikon evaluate these lens covers in outdoor environments and develop a much better solution.

    Superb binoculars for the price!

Posted by AKbirder on June 2, 2016

Clean, crisp detail and BRIGHT...a joy to use and very well priced with image quality and features other brands charge much much more for.

I have some Nikon 10x50's I bought a few years ago and the Prostaff 7S 10x42's are definitely cleaner, crisper and brighter. Add waterproof and nitrogen filled to avoid internal fogging and youve got very, very good glass at a very affordable price. I do alot of bird photography and like to have a pair of binoculars to see what birds are in and around favorite shooting areas. Very pleased with purchase.

    Excellent, great color and brightness.

This is a great set of glasses, the colors hold up over distance and the comfort of the eye pieces is excellent. I think they are very well made and durable. The magnification is very very good.
I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of good glasses with a reasonable price.
    I am completely satisfied.

    Good for the price

Really like the binoculars the only disappointment was the lens covers. Can't believe they would make covers that are so cheap. I've bought 20 dollar binoculars with better caps.
