NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR

Got it in a kit with the 50-250 and a Z50ii, so it was super reasonable in price. Fast focusing, sharp, good contrast with a very handy zoom range on the crop sensor body. Excellent for 4k video! Light and handy, one of the reasons I got this kit. Plastic construction takes getting used to, but hopefully the internals stay in spec and it lasts a long time. Performance-wise it is top notch. With the Z50ii's ISO performance and the VR of the lens, I have not had any issues with the small aperture in lower light. (But obviously this is not my astro lens!) If I could only take one lens on a trip, this would be it.

I bought this to use with a Z30 attached to a Peak designs capture clip on my backpack strap while ski touring and mountain biking. If purchasing a Z30 (or similar) the cost is so low to bundle in this lens, it's an incredible bargain. I also use a Sigma 56mm f/1.4 lens with the Z30, but this little lens is so good, and so unobtrusive, that I am only using the Sigma when I go out in low light. The image quality is remarkable, especially considering cost and size. The stabilization enables me to shoot stationary subjects hand held at 1/30. This is the perfect travel lens when paired with a smaller Z body. I am very, very impressed.

Cet objectif, ne donne pas la pleine mesure de la Z50. Depuis que j'ai la Z 28mm /F2.8 et la Z 24-70mm F/4, je peux tirer le maximum de ma caméra.

I am really rather surprised by the sharpness and contrast of this little kit lens, all in a very compact package. I am a long time Nikkor user, with the lens lineage that goes back 40 years. I was a little skeptical about the quality of this lens, but after reviewing the shots it has produced, I'm convinced that the Z mount, and the new lens designs, offer superior performance to expensive high end glass from years ago.

While its plastic feel doesn't lend an air of confidence, this lens more than makes up for it by its performance. It's sharp nearly edge to edge wide open. It focuses quickly. And it's quite reasonably priced. It's a wonderful lens for the Z fc, Z 5, and Z 50 owners.

Great overall picture quality with great sharpness and contrast. Great travel lens that is compact and light.

One of the best lenses I own. Clear images, light weight great for all around photography. The pancake feature is unique and useful.
