    12-28mm power zoom

    Good product. Very good for videos, wide angle lets you be close to the lens without cramming in. Focus ring is very stiff so far.

    Incredible Lens for the Money

    I was looking for an ultra-wide-angle lens to augment my Z30 kit. The Z DX 12-28 fit the bill perfectly. Compact and exceptionally sharp edge to edge, the test images I’ve gotten so far are incredible. Love that I can use it for a variety of image types from scenic to closeups.It’s hard to believe that a lens of this quality is cost effective. It will be interesting to see how it performs on my Z6III and Z8. Bottom line, this lens is a winner.

    Surprisingly outstanding lens

    I'm used to pro-grade optics, but I need the wider view for my DX Z mount cameras. I'm using two Z30 cameras for over the shoulder video interviews on site, and needed something lightweight, with great optics. This little lens is quite a surprise. For a lens aimed at bloggers and content creators, it still offers the overall and corner to corner sharpness and contrast I have come to expect from Nikkor optics. The lens is silent, and since it internally focuses, maintains its balance on a gimbal. The power zoom feature is actually really handy. A slow zoom (-3) in or out gives a nice cinematic feel to the video. I have even used this lens on my Z30 as a webcam using the Web Utility software. For the low cost, light weight and ease of use, I really think this lens is a little gem.
