Very Sharp
Posted by OldOne on October 17, 2019
Lens is very sharp and functions well in low light on my Z6. A picture in competition at my camera club convinced another member to buy this lens.

Perfect Fast and Sharp

This lens is a work of art. It has been crisp corner to corner, and amazing to work with my Z6.

A Great all around lens
Posted by Helen on October 17, 2019
I got this lens for my Z7. Before this lens, I used FTZ with Nikon 24-70mm F2.8E ED VR which my husband uses with his D850. For me, this Z mount lens is every bit as good as the F mount lens, and it is much lighter in weight that´s great for an old lady.

The best 24-70 2.8 lens I´ve owned

This lens blew me away. I have the F mount 24-70 2.8 that is good but this blew the wheels off of it.

Tack Sharp, Great Design, Really Fast
Posted by Oldphotoman on October 17, 2019
Fantastic all around lens, tac sharp with great performance. Perhaps a little overpriced but worth every penny, Anticipating the next step 70-200mm S early next year. I will be on my next to purchase list.

Absolutely incredible lens
Posted by DJPB on October 17, 2019
The build quality of the lens is incredible. It is also beautifully built with great attention to detail. The VR is amazing, much better than the 24-70 VR lens.

Awesome lens with one problem
Posted by Oaktree on June 13, 2019
I have owned the Z 24-70 about a month. I have found every good thing written about it to be true. However there is one problem, discovered during use at the first high-pressure day long shoot. With no MDB- battery pack, you have to hold it with a hand on the lens, especially when shooting portrait mode. This makes it way too easy to inadvertently bump the AF/MF switch out of auto focus. The pictures then become out of focus, but not enough to tell in the viewfinder. Dozens of otherwise great shots ended up being lost.
There needs to be a lock or an external protective sleeve to prevent this from happening. -

Top of the Line Nikon Digital Full Frame Mirrorless Lens
Posted by Scripps23 on April 17, 2019
The new Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 Lens is Impressive. With it´s strong build, economical size and weight, and optical excellence, you will never regret its purchase. It especially excels in low light indoor situations and delivers superb contrast and color. When coupled with a Nikon Z6 or Z7, you have the best full frame studio equipment available.

The best ever!
Posted by RickT1 on April 13, 2019
My 24-70 2.8 S for the Z7 arrived Thursday at my local store YM Camera in Youngstown Ohio. Nikon hit it out of the park with this one. The focus is unbelievably fast and the images are tack sharp throughout the the zoom range. At F2.8 indoors low light the corners and edges perfect. Outdoors it preforms perfectly. Definitely one of the best lenses I have ever used. I only regret that it wasn´t available sooner. If anyone is considering this lens don´t be afraid to pull the trigger. It is well worth the money. Another advantage of buying from local brick and mortar stores.
