Definitely Worth the Upgrade Over the Older F Mount Version.

This excellent lens completed my Z Holy Trinity. This is a great improvement over the older F mount version. Highly recommended.

The beginning of the S line Holy Trinity for the Z cameras

Stunningly sharp, sharper than the Nikon 14-24 F2.8 AF version. Corner to corner detail is beautiful and tack sharp with contrast detail never before seen in a wide angle zoom. The addition of the two detail buttons was a stoke of genius on the part of Nikon Lens Designers and a wonderful aid when making images. Expensive, yes. Worth every penny, certainly.

Love this lens. Perfect for landscapes, the ultra-wide angle its great for putting the scene into perspective and scale. I'm impressed with the focal length and details too.

A must-have lens for Z-mount full frame cameras.

This is a worthy replacement for the infamous F-mount equivalent. A wonderful lens, more compact, lighter and with better optical performance than its predecessor. I use it primarily for night and long exposure photography and it performs as expected: very sharp and without coma for stars and pinpoint light sources. What I also enjoy very much is the reversible lens hood and the (almost) normal lens cap, which I can now put in my back pocket and no longer have to worry to accidentally pop off and loose.
