    39 dollars for a plastic cup, worth pennies. Works though, so 2 stars for that.

    Kind of confusing

    I also thought the hood was extremely loose, but this hood clicks into the camera lens. Have to use some force to screw it in.

    Not the best construction/design.

    This hood does not snap into place. There is nothing to hold it on the lens; it can fall off at anytime.

    While the HB-61 does fit on the AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G, it is extremely loose and if you rotate the camera more than once, it falls off. I expected more from Nikon.
