    What is the point? Would be useful if could charge while shooting

    I'm not sure i see the point of this charger - you can't use the camera when charging and it takes up the same amount of space as the stand alone battery charger. Would be very useful if you could use it to power the camera while in use for time lapse or long exposure outside cold weather shooting. You are much better off having a second battery and using the standard charger so you can at least keep shooting while the second battery charges out of the camera
