    Terrific Image Quality

I bought my D850 and could not be happier. I am using a 70-200 f 2.8 on it, and I am getting some of the best photos of my life. I can thoroughly endorse this camera. Its the closest thing to a medium format camera you can get.

Love it, and with the MB-D18 it feels great! It really is the new medium format.

Awesome Camera - Great Upgrade from the D750

Posted by Philbert on June 12, 2018

I´m an Amateur Photographer from back in the 70´s when Film was it ...My Camera of the time was the a Canon EOS620...So as Technology changed - I too followed !!! My interest has been in Outdoor / Nature Photos and Family Events...My last camera was the D750 which was ´outstanding´ and probably all I really needed !!! But when the D850 was introduced, the 45 mega pixie was too good to pass by and with the latest electronics, I figured that this would be my last camera in my lifetime (???!!!)...I´m very pleased with the D850 and though its more than what I need, the Phots taken are ´breathtaking´ and in my opinion worth the price ... Just received the ES-2 Negative Digitalizer and now I´m going to be able to transfer all of my photos of years ago to digital...Thanks Nikon for the Great Camera!!!

    Nikon´s best so far.

Posted by PhotosByFry on June 12, 2018

I started with Nikon with a point and shoot I still have. Progessed to a D3200 when it cam out as my entry level DSLR. It was a great starter into the world of DSLR´s. A lot of what I wanted to do I found out was in the pro series of cameras so I bought a D800. A year or so later progressed to the D810 that I loved and used like a religion. So when the D850 came out last year the buzz was so incredible I could not believe what I was reading. A friend of mine who is a Pro photographer and Nikon users was able to get one of the first ones. I was saving for a D5 like he owned. So we talked and talked pixel peeped images between the D5 and D850. Looked at lighting, white balance, color rendition, shadows and detail speed, focusing, just about everything a professional magazine would do but on a more personal and real world level. What we came to find out is the D850 is indeed on par with the D5 except for very high iso and half the price. I am a macro shooter and shoot in a lot of low light situations. The proof is in the images not just a review. I cannot say how pleased I am with this camera. When I was ready to pull the trigger none of the normal places I shop had them and they were on back order. I tried one of the big box stores I shop at and they had them online. 2 days later I had the D850 and the rest is history. I have included a few images from the D850.

Perfect balance of speed and resolution

Posted by Raiderrr on June 12, 2018

This is the most versatile camera ever. And the sensor really delivers even in low light. With enough resolution that cropping that would be out of the question is no longer an issue when it cannot be avoided. Focus shift is a great feature! I have been with Nikon since my first DSLR (D70!) and this camera is by far the best yet. Highly recommended!

    Does Everything !

Posted by theKude on June 12, 2018

I´ve had my D850 about 5-months now...and am still being impressed with it´s low light capabilities and it´s extreme sharpness in landscapes. Gym lighting is not a problem! Re-discovering all my Nikkor primes ...again!

    Evolution and experience works together

Posted by RickB on June 11, 2018

My relation with the brand started with a Nikkormat (still in good use) I jumped into a F90 in the ´90s, and now I got a D850. I feel like I´m living in an evolution timeline chart, where I can testify, according with my experience, how everything has changed. Measuring the light was always a concern for me, but using the new technology looks like a constant re-definition of the typical problems, I mean, If I was surprised with the f90´s five area sensor, today I can´t even shut my mouth after playing with the amazing HDR (High Dynamic Range) possibilities. I wonder what would have been the Ansel Adams opinion, and how this feature would have helped him with the zone system.
