    Almost the perfect camera

Posted by Anonymous on July 6, 2019

I have been using the D800 and D800E since they came out and love them, Image quality is outstanding, Things i would have liked re quicker AF and FPS and the D850 gives me that, Last year i took the D850 to Nepal and used it for travel photography and also at 21246 feet on the summit of Mera Peak, In freezing temperatures it worked faultlessly, Battery life in the cold also outstanding

The most awesome DSLR for the professional user

Posted by billtruran on July 5, 2019

The best thing for me about the D850 is the ability to shoot 3 different raw sizes. To be honest, I shoot many jobs at the small size but the huge raw size is there when my clients request it. I always shoot video with manual lenses so once again, the D850 is perfect for me with it´s 4K UHD video capture.

The best yet for my ´making art with my camera´ needs.

Posted by PhotoArtAmateur on July 5, 2019

For starters, I do not (prob never will) use the movie features. This 850 is made for movie makers. Read on for ´still shooters´. 90% of all buttons/menu items are where I left them on my D800e. Took a sec to learn where few things moved to. Best: film-days (asa) ISO 64 returned. Added: focus-peaking in Lv. Multiple Exposure setting includes option to keep sep images with the ME img. A ton of other features and ALL without the weight of the delicious D5!!

    Love My D850!

Posted by DonR on June 22, 2019

The autofocus speed is a huge improvement over my D800e. And now I can even use Autofocus in Live View for video. In combination with my 200-500 f5.6 the autocus for birds in flight is instantaneous with Continuous mode. Also, Autofocus works much much better at low light levels. The improved ISO performance is a huge plus for this camera. In general this camera never ceases to amaze me and I am SO glad I upgraded from the D800e.
Nikon really did their homework on this one! I also LOVE my 200-500 f5.6!

    Out Standing DSLR

Easy to Navigate the menu, Great ISO and Shutter release and when using manual mode you can set auto ISO. Takes great Landscape and Sport Pictures. Lighting fast shutter speed for Racing pictures. I would recommend this camera to any Sony or Canon person. The D850 is a hard to beat Full Frame DSLR

Wedding Photographer In Love with the D850

    Posted by Tj4truelove on June 15, 2019

Wow!!! Is all I can say. I already owned the 810´s which I will still hang on to because they are gorgeous also. d850´s clarity and low light photo ability has just made already amazing Wedding photos pop even more. I use these cameras several times a week between Weddings and Family sessions and Engagements. It is a work Horse and so many cool new features. the touch screen lets me show my clients in an instant how they look. All my clients have been amazed by it.

    IT´s a beast of a camera!

Posted by BlueSkyPhoto on June 7, 2019

Changed form the D800 ( which I plan on keeping as my second body) and spent two weeks with it this past month in France. There is definitely a learning curve and if you are planning on getting it, I urge to buy Thom Hogan´s eBook-it´s very detailed (this is my third Hogan eBook) but very worth the time to study it. The camera is amazing in so many ways but what impressed me the most is the sensor´s ability to perfectly capture underexposed shots. The detail is amazing. It offers really fast continuous shooting, ridiculous shutter speeds and ISOs off charts. I shoot in manual mode mostly and found it to be very friendly and easy to control. I was debating about the mirrorless camera but I am very happy with my decision to go with the D850 for many reasons. Probably the best digital SLR ever made, to date.

    Excellent Camera

A little bit of a learning curve shooting with this many megapixels - excellent photos and I can blow them up to poster size no problem.
