Previous to buying the D850 I owned the D810....I am blown away by the clarity of the D850 over the D810....amazing how much more detail and density my images have:)

A little bit of a learning curve shooting with this many megapixels - excellent photos and I can blow them up to poster size no problem.

Added this to my D800 and F6 and FM2n body fleet. Amazing upgrades from the D800, Love the touch-screen for specific focus areas of a scene. Can use ALL my accumulated Nikon lenses on this body. Awesome!

    Great camera

I have always owned Nikon cameras and this is the ultimate camera, the clarity is unmatched anywhere. My others take great pics, but this one makes them look bad. The D850 captures details that the naked eye cannot see when using certain lenses. I can crop a picture to gain a zoom on and not loose any quality in the picture.

    So far so good

It seems at consistent as the D700, if this continues as expected we may have the solid successor of one of the best and toughest Nikon DSLR, the reliable D700.

All I can say this is a great camera,so far no cons photos look great in in Photoshop. I use it with a Nikon 24-70 2.8mm lens I walk around all day with it I don´t find it heavy. If your looking to upgrade D850 is the way to go

    Perfect upgrade from the D750

Posted by SFPhotographer on April 18, 2019

After a few years with my D750, having already shot close to 100k photos, the option to go mirrorless versus stay with DSLR was upon me. I know this is a complex topic, so suffice to say that I LOVE my D850, have already done timelapses, long exposures, shot a short film, and 7 fashion/modeling shoots. It´s everything I wished the 750 was and more, a natural alternative to consider when upgrading. Noise is nonexistent when shooting at ISO 64, absolutely clean. I wish the 4k UHD video option had 60fps available, and accessories can be pricey (like the $300 battery grip), even a third party high-speed memory card can run $200 (120GB), but overall I am absolutely loving this camera and strongly recommend it to anyone considering upgrading their D750 (or crop frame Nikon DSLR), if they really want to stay with DSLR.

    Impressive!

Purchased the D850 as a move from the DX format into full frame FX. This camera has so many features that rather detailing them in a review, I suggest you download and look at owners manual available on the Nikon website. This camera focuses in near complete darkness, has extraordinary resolution and incredible dynamic range. The quality of images it captures makes the price worthwhile. It feels solid in the hands and the buttons and controls are well placed. All of my DX lenses work seamlessly and I´ve added a couple of full frame lenses to take advantage of the full frame sensor. If you´re considering a high end, full frame DSLR the D850 would be a great choice.
