    Very good and impressive camera

Posted by Nelson M. on October 10, 2016

I am a wildlife photographer and switched from the Nikon DX-frame to the D750. Even if I lost the 1.5 factor for the focal length I would never go back to my old camera. I bought this camera for two main reasons, its good capacity in low light conditions and the fast focusing speed. It behaves very well on both aspects.

Birds are not always in the best light conditions available and many time under the tree canopy. In difficult light conditions the D750 behave extremely well and high ISO photo do give surprisingly good results. The other factor that I like is the speed of the focusing system, I rarely have to delete a photo of a fast moving subject, like flying birds because it out of focus. The focusing speed will vary from lens model to the other but with new models lens, it is very fast.

This is a superb camera with a lot and offers a lot of flexibility. Couple this camera with fast writing memory cards and you have a “mean machine” for bird photography.

    Best value of money

Posted by Hemant on October 4, 2016

Its a great camera for high end use. Each and every thing in this camera is up to the mark or beyond. I am also using D7000 and D7200. But the only one thing lacking in this Fx is max shutter speed is only 1/4000. D7000 and D7200 has 1/8000. D750 is not a entry level camera like D3xxx and D5xxx series. Both of these series have max shutter speed as 1/4000. Then why Nikon gave entry level shutter speed to this near pro Fx camera?
Otherwise in case of IQ and performance no one cat beat this D750.

Poor color accuracy, poor optics, poor return policy

Posted by anarchist on August 22, 2016

Bought refurbished, color balance is way off, all photos have yellow cast, WB also off even in day light. Also tried 24-855mm with it - photos are too soft, sharpening is not helping.
Return policy is shocking - you cannot return anything once opened, Nikon does not stand behind its products, the company is going down.

Love the full frame and DX compatibility

Posted by Pixelpn on July 24, 2016

I have had a D100, D300 and now moved up to the D750 and I am very pleased. Love the full frame and the DX compatibility for my old lenses. This camera has low noise at high iso and great colour dept. If you are looking for a step up in quality I would suggest looking at the D750.

    Absolutely Stunning

Posted by laynuh on June 24, 2016

This camera is everything I could ask for. The sensor is insane and it photos in the middle of the night come out crystal clear. I´m primarily a portrait shooter, but I work weddings and other events, and this camera is perfect for both. I was a bit worried about the video, but the quality is excellent nonetheless. I was debating between the d750 and the d500, and since they´re both around the same price, I definitely recommend going for the full frame.

    D750 the best!!!

Posted by talhabintariq on June 9, 2016

I have been using nikon DSLRs for almost 6 years.
Previously i have bought and purchased D5300 which was good for beginner photographers. Then i used D7100 which was also great. I bought D750 last year, its been almost 8 months and the experience is simply awesome. It is the best DSLR i´ve used till now. The image quality is great. The dynamic range is splendid. The noise performance is great on large ISOs. Built in wifi gives a great feature in FX format.

Excellent Still-Frame Camera / Video Camera Not So Much

Posted by ChuckF on May 14, 2016

I purchased my D750 camera about 6 or 7months ago from Adorama. So far it has met or exceeded my expectations for still photography in just about every area. However, recently for the first time, I started using the camera´s video capabilities. I am impressed with the technical quality of the videos produced but I am not impressed with this (or any other DSLR) camera´s manual functionality to produce them. I find it difficult to smoothly pan and zoom. The camera is hard to hold and perform these functions without obvious jerking motions. Yes, I suppose that I could use a tripod to alleviate some of this but that defeats the spontaneity that I might want to achieve. I also noticed that the camera picks up the sound of the auto-focus and/or aperture mechanisms working automatically.

I have seen other reviewer´s whining about this camera (and many other DSLR´s) not having 4K functionality. I have to wonder why. If I were interested in first class, high-quality video, I would go out and buy a first class, high-quality video camera. I can understand the theory of having a jack-of-all-trades camera but I don´t think that the practice lives up to expectations, at least not mine.

I don´t know how much of the D750´s price includes video functionality. However, I would like to see Nikon reduce the price of future DSLR cameras accordingly or give that much more still-frame functionality/value.

    Love this camera!

This camera is just plain fun to use. In auto mode it a big point and shoot with superior clarity. You can´t find a better camera package for the money anywhere!

Better then the D610, very happy with it. 4/30/16

Posted by Huzzah on April 29, 2016

After the D600 ´´oil gate´´ <credit: Jared Polin; Fro Knows Photo; but not in any way his fault> I went for the D610; and still had some oil issues. Yes, all DSLRs need their sensor cleaned, but the D600 series really took the cake. It basically ruined the series for me. Have only one spot on my sensor that needs to be handled, hardly an issue after a year. The D610, 6-7 weeks in, dirty, do I sole it, and got the 60mm G macro lens. Great lens by the way; just plastic, and not metal body, and more glass. The more glass, the worse your images are.

The D750 is everything the D610 had to be. The clarity, ad the sturdiness are top notch. The downside, the wight. Like the fact you still as on this date, can use the ´´D´´ series lenses as an option. Have to be honest though; The Angry Photographer swears by them, and he claims to have owned; or used all Nikon´s lenses. He swears on some of the D lenses. Most notably; the 60mm D macro; and the 100´s telephotos. This is my biggest issue: The possibility of bricking the camera if to fail to with the M/AF mode on both the lens, and camera to match and say the same thing. As in: M/M AF/AF. MF/AF will kill your camera body. I wonder if Nikon stopped making the D series lenses; the G series would be better, because they can afford to?

Like the fact you can have dual SDXC cards for back up. The D500 is different in this regard. I can just plug in the card to my computer.

Was interested in the D810; but it really only has a few minor specs that are different, and they are not really that important for me. Mostly the 36MP sensor, for cropping, but yeah. The D750 is better in my thoughts.

As with any camera, do not take it in the rain. Water seepage is a camera killer. Weather sealing is not really the much of a big deal. You can just use a wide rubber band. Cheap to replace too.

Would I use it for video? No. Nikon is for still photos, and Canon is better for video. But Nikon seems to try and change this, so good on them.

Would I buy again if it was stolen, or broken? Maybe. But the D500 seems like I might choose it. Even though it is DX, and not FX.
