I consider it ESSENTIAL for Nikon D750

Posted by Paul Connors on November 12, 2020

Back in 2017 when I purchased my Nikon D750, I KNEW I'd be adding a vertical grip to the body. I actually bought the grip FIRST at UNIQUE PHOTO in Fairfield, NJ, and then purchased the D750 body from the Army & Air Force Exchange where it was then on sale, and where I also saved on the sales tax.Going back to my days shooting Nikon film bodies (N90S, F100), I always added a vertical grip and knew that I would continue to do so when I transitioned to digital. I have small hands for a man and I just really enjoy knowing I have the extra battery power, a second shutter release and AE/AF button when shooting vertically. The build quality on these grips is what one has every right to expect from NIKON and when I bought mine, I believe I paid approximately $339 USD. At the $139 price point these grips are selling at now (Christmas sales 2020), these are a STEAL. If you are a Nikon D750 and ever wondered about bying one of these grips, wonder no more. Get it now at this $200 discount and you won't regret it.

    MB-D16 Review

Posted by Dybaxters on July 4, 2015

Well made with the quality one would expect from Nikon. The additional grip helps with stability when shooting with heavy lenses. The base is non-slip as expected and firmly attaches to tripod quick release heads. Plenty of clearance when mounting. Having the extra battery helps when in the field - with capabilities of switching from the MB-D16 to the D-750 internal power source is very useful. Side shutter button will take sometime to get used too, just have to remember it is there to use.

    Awesome

    It´s THE battery grip :)
Well made, stable, and feels like part of the camera. However, rotating dials are little stiff.

Can´t use the camera without it attached.

This is a must have accessary. I have used power grips on all of my nikons. Once you have used the pro line cameras D3-D4´s you can not live without this on your camera body.s. First the D-750 body is much smaller .in size then it´s big brother the D-700. So with big size hands the grip on the D-750 is just too small for proper camera control.
For me I would not have the D-750 without the MB-D16 attached. ( It is just a must have accessary)
