Worth the price with one flaw

Posted by Monika L. on July 6, 2025

I've had this Monarch M5 since Christmas 2024 and do enjoy using them for birdwatching off my patio. They only have one flaw I've sofar discovered. The rubber bands that hold the lens covers to the bins have started to form cracks and it appears, at the current rate of deterioration, that the bands will break off within a few months. I keep the bins hanging in the house and they go outside only while around my neck so this cannot be from UV exposure. Otherwise the bins are functioning very well. I'm going to be contacting the warranty department about this for a replacement and hope the replacements have a longer lasting material.

    Great purchase!!

I bought these after trying them from a friend and I am so happy with them. They are excellent for birdwatching while being affordable. The optic are clear and easy to manipulate for focus. Mine are well used already and I hardly go anywhere without them as there is always something to see at a distance in Florida !!

Fine binocular with a beautiful fit and finish. The brightness and clarity are superb. I am very picky about optical instruments. These binocs are excellent.

Very good glass for the money backed by a fine company. You can't go wrong these.
