As my first rangefinder upgrade in a long time, this is quite a treat. The stabilizer feature is a total game changer, coupled with the lock-on feature which displays a green ring around the pin when its measured, there’s no more wondering whether you’re on target or not. It is incredibly easy to hit pins, no lag in yardage display and incredible clarity, as you might expect from a company that has been doing lenses for decades. You really need to get one in your hands to understand the features and what the stabilization is like. Overall very impressed

I’ve now used this proshot on two full rounds of golf and I can officially confirm this without a doubt is the most consistent and accurate while being the easiest to use rangefinder you can grab I’ve used Nikon in the past and have never been disappointed or let down by the standards of their products

It’s an absolute great rangefinder! It locks on quick and is absolutely stable. Visuals are easy to see and the numbers are even easier to read.

A little background on me, I’ve been playing golf for 25+ years, so this sport has become a huge part of my life. I play a couple times per week/weekend for fun with my buddies. I also participate in competitive events held through the WSGA and USGA. With that being said, I’ve used/tested my fair share of golf range finders from different companies. Some good and some not so good. I was excited to test out the Coolshot Pro III stabilized. This was my first time using a Nikon golf range finder. I know they make great cameras and binoculars, so I was curious to see what they could offer in range finder. First, One of my biggest pet peeves is a range finder that isn’t user friendly. I’ve used some brands in the past where taking it out of the box and straight to the course would lead to frustration because the options and button patterns on the device were complicated. I’m a little picky when it comes to these minor things but I like simple. Nikon gets a thumbs up from me in that category. All I had to do was load in the battery it came with and the device was ready to go. The buttons and controls were intuitive and made sense. I was able to cycle through different functions and learn the device within a couple minutes without having to reference the manual. I really like the case that holds the device. The locking mechanism is easy to open and close. There isn’t a zipper but a clip which securely holds the device. I didn’t have any worries of the device falling out. As for using the device on the course…the product is awesome. The clarity is amazing. I don’t believe I’ve seen a range finder with this quality of lens. As for shooting distances, this device is spot on. I really like the target sights on the lens which have a unique layout (long horizontal line) and makes viewing distances simple and accurate. I never had an issue of wondering if I got the distance of the pin or the trees behind the pin. The device makes it pretty clear and gives you confidence that you have the right number. I’ve had challenges in the past with other range finders not picking up targets other than the pin. For example, during round I like getting yardages of trees, lips of bunkers, hills or mounds, etc. The Nikon had no challenges picking up distances of the targets I aimed at. One feature of this device I really like is the constant yardage reading. I was able to move between different targets and get continuous distances by holding the button down. The slope function works great and is easy to turn off during competitive tournament rounds. This product is great! I would recommend it to any golfer looking for a new rangefinder. This will be in my bag moving forward! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

I was amazed as soon as I took it out of the box, I through in the battery and in no time, it was working without any adjusting. My round was awesome because of the accuracy of the beautiful produce. It was easy to play with, and I recommend no other range finder.
