    Great upgrade lens from kit lens

    Bought my D5000 with 18-55 kit lens. Thought that was great, until I bought this on a recommendation. This lens is awesome for family bbq pictures and portrait pictures.

    Super lens at a bargain price

    Every Nikon DX owner needs this lens; it offers capabilities even the most expensive zoom lenses cannot offer. This lens is equivilent to a 52 mm ´´normal lens´´ in a 35mm format, and you will find you will use it a lot, indoors and out. With aperture settings from f1.8 to f22, depth of field can be controlled precisely, especially if your camera has a depth of field preview button (D90 and above). Nice features include a metal bayonet mount and the ability to manually focus the lens, even when it is set for autofocus. Plus, it is compact, lightweight and the viewfinder is bright, thanks to the f1.8 aperture. Buy it.
