    Completes the D5

Perfect fit for the Nikon 5. The alternative is bulky and cumbersome. This is little more than a small bump on the side. Nikon´s instructions leave out obvious answers to questions in setup but these are easily figured out. Hardest part is solved after plugging in and trying it out. On the field, there´s cell phone linkage but no wifi. Exactly what was needed for an access point to get sports shots to the people putting up the instant action sites. Confusing documentation takes one star off.

    Wish it Worked

Posted by TomM on April 18, 2016

I tried connecting my new WT-6A to my new D5 camera and guess what, it does not work properly yet. I am trying to use image transfer mode between the camera and a Mac Book Pro laptop computer. After carefully following the instructions I can get the WT-6A to send a batch of files to the laptop and then it disconnects. I also tried connecting to a Windows 10 PC with the same results.

Nikon support has been working on a solution for a week now. I will be surprised if this issue gets solved very quickly.

It is not useable at the current time.

I am seriously thinking about returning this unit and wait until Nikon actually gets it working to purchase it.
