    Dependability

    I bought a PROSTAFF 1000 two years ago. Worked fine for the first year but in the second year, it started returning random distances hundreds of yards off the actual distance. The unit had been lightly used, well taken care of, I tried a new battery and nothing worked. Nikon was good about getting back to me quickly, but unfortunately I had lost my receipt, so repairs weren't covered. Thought a Nikon would be a dependable brand to buy, but guess not. Buyer beware and make sure to keep that receipt!
