    Rubber does not last long

Posted by Marc on January 15, 2024

Within a year and a half the rubber is ungluing itself. given the cost of the item it is disappointing to see that the grip is starting to undo itself.

I tried to contact Nikon on this and after waiting for a reply they want 180$ to repair this.

Buyer beware - I love having a grip but should last longer than this.

EN-El15A and EN-EL15B batteries not compatible

Posted by Menegus on December 23, 2022

I went to purchase this battery grip today to use on Z6ii. I brought with me two en-el15a and enel15b batteries. The grip displayed an temporary error indicating unable to turn on. The camera store expert got it to turn on. I turned off and turned on again, same error. He said most likely have to use en-el15c batteries to avoid this error. One would think, the grip would be battery backward compatible. Also, cannot use the USB charging port without EN-EL 15 c batteries.

very well designed. I love that you can charge the batteries while this is still connected to the camera.

    Best Nikon Vertical Grip yet!…

Posted by Kip Sneddon on May 2, 2022

The Nikon MB-N11’s grip and button placement are perfect for my hand. Compared to the MB-16 Vert Grip for the D750 the MB-N11 feels much more solidly connected to the camera. This is likely due to the way the MB-N11 connects to the camera with both a locking screw and a vertical shaft that goes into the cameras battery chamber and thereby and excellent stability. Some feel it has an eye watering price tag and with a price of $399.99 they might be correct but it is money well spent IMO. I do have one niggling issue with the MB-N11 and it is the battery chamber door that pops off every time I open or close the chamber. It clips right back on but for $400.00 - 0.01 it should stay together IMO.Long story medium? If you’re a sports and wildlife photographer like me it’s a must have for the Z7II and the Z6Il. Happy shooting!

A Must have for Nikon Super Telephotos lens or Portraiture Photography

Posted by Dwight Brown on July 8, 2021

The battery grip is very well made and has very good dust, moisture, and weather sealing. The battery grip allows for charging of EN-EL 15c while in the grip. The grip is also backward compatible with older EN-EL batteries, to achieve maximum performance I suggest the newer 15c batteries.- When one battery is depleted it automatically switches to the next battery without power interruption. Can also be charged using a portable USB C battery charger.Allows use of the shutter button on the grip as well as the function wheel while in portrait mode.I purchased this for one main reason to help balance my Nikon Z7II with my Nikon 600mm and Nikon 800mm ED FL lenses on a Gimbal head. With the added benefit of longer battery life.Used mine for two weeks in the field without any issues good weather and bad.
