Glass has separated from the filter ring.
Unfortunately, I have to purchase another filter. Noticed today while cleaning my camera the filter glass has separated from the ring. There appears to be a soft o ring which is no longer keeping the lens secure. I went to the BandH website to order and noticed from other comments on BandH this is not an uncommon problem and Nikon does not seem to support or replace. Some say it appears to be defective. That said, I am ordering anoather Nikon 82mm filter, once again, to replace the one that separated and give it another try.
