D500

I have been very impressed with the build quality, high ISO noise levels, and the AF speed. I have had Nikon cameras since the 1970´s and DSLR´s since the D70 was released and currently have an older D7100 and a FX D750. My D7100 has a fairly high shutter count and has served me well but I wanted a great DX replacement. I take a lot of Bird and Flying aircraft photos with a 200-500 f/5.6 so a high quality DX sensor gives me just that little extra reach. I also wanted a body that is not afraid of the Louisiana weather and needed a camera that had better low light ISO than the D7100 so the D500 hit all those spot. The learning curve was no issue since I have both the D7100 and a D750 and the performance of the D500 was well beyond my expectations. I love it.

I absolutely love the Nikon D500. Having two memory card slots means that when I shoot in raw I can make a duplicate file on the fly. With the battery extender there´s plenty of power for a day´s shoot. By the way this is one fast camera. Instant response. I was skeptical of the led screen, and thought of it as a gimmick but now I use it a lot. This articulated screen is great for odd camera positions.

So many features, outstanding build quality. Retired and changing careers the D500 makes going to work everyday sheer pleasure.

Magnificent camera! I got all praise for this camera especially when I went to Ecuador/ Galapagos. It´s super fast and sharp. I use this camera for wildlife and my D750 for landscape. A lot of people ask me what kind of camera I use and I also use the Nikon trinity lenses. I don´t use photoshop coz got no time for that. My shots got to be as much as possible perfect at least for me! I´m so proud of myself and my cameras and lenses! Thanks Nikon! Love love love my cameras and lenses!

A great Fathers day deal bundle, I snapped on my 200-500mm f/5.6 and went to looking birds of prey In the everglades. I mow use the D500 for more than just wildlife, I´ve been photographing the local triathlons In my state/Florida and other sporting events Involving my children. Also night photography Is awesome with the D500 as I´ve been capturing many Images of our milky way galaxy and city night Images. The 16-80mm f/2.8 Is awesome for night photography and part of my all around lens to use.

I am primarily a bird photographer. My main set up is the 300 mm 1.4 extender on Nikon 7200. While this is quite good I recently switched to the D500. The clarity and autofocus are superb. I was photographing a swallow tailed kite at quite a distance and even when cropped they are excellent. Birds in flight are a breeze with the D500 autofocus.

I´m in love with it.. I photography birds mainly.
The FPS, buffer, relatively better performance at higher ISO´s are the features I enjoy mainly - which makes this the best camera I have used so far!

This is a great camera!! I had to wait awhile to upgrade from a D300s; its like night and day. Fast, sharp, 2 button rear controls, all fantastic. The Snapbridge is great feature also (takes a little getting use to). I cant wait for HS sports season to start using its full functions.
